Fans are buzzing about a possible new partnership between PUBG Mobile Japan and Hololive after the game’s official account shared a shadowy image. Many believe the figure in the silhouette is Usada Pekora, a well-known VTuber.
On May 8th, the official PUBG Mobile Japan X account shared a mysterious image: a dark outline of an anime character against a blue, diamond-shaped backdrop. The post included only the phrase “buzz buzz cha♪ buzz buzz cha♪” and the hashtag for PUBG Mobile.
Although PUBG Mobile hasn’t confirmed the character, many fans believe a new collaboration will feature Usada Pekora, a popular star from Hololive. They’ve noticed the character’s design—specifically the rabbit-like shape, braided hair, and a distinct musical cue—strongly suggests this connection.
Pekora is a hugely popular VTuber on Hololive, boasting over 2.77 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 1.1 billion views on her content.

PUBG Mobile fans think Pekora skin is being revealed
The recent preview has led fans to believe Pekora might receive a complete character skin in PUBG Mobile, and not just a new voice option.
This new partnership represents a significant upgrade from her earlier work with PUBG Mobile. Back in January 2024, Krafton Japan introduced the “PUBG Pekora Voice Project,” which added a special voice pack featuring Usada Pekora as part of the game’s 3.0.0 update.
The campaign featured exclusive voice lines earned through daily rewards, premium voice packs available for purchase, and collectible in-game items like Pekora’s Carrot and Donkachi medals.
Pekora was featured in ads for the game, and PUBG Mobile Japan released a promotional video on YouTube to announce her voice pack. She’s the second Hololive VTuber to get a skin in the game, following Sakura Miko, who was added in late 2025.
PUBG Mobile Japan recently shared a shadowy image, but hasn’t officially announced a full skin featuring Pekora. Still, fans of Hololive are excited, as the image includes copyright information belonging to Cover Corp – the company behind Hololive – suggesting a new collaboration is likely on the way.
