Riot Games fixed a problem with the Valorant agent Neon’s ability, Fast Lane, and has temporarily removed her from the game on PC. They’re planning significant updates to her in the upcoming 12.09 patch.
Neon is a consistently popular Valorant agent, known for her fast movement and ability to quickly break up the enemy team’s defenses. Because of this, many players have asked Riot Games to adjust her abilities.
Players have been discussing this issue for a while, particularly due to Neon’s Fast Lane ability. The ability has allowed Neon to essentially see through walls, causing problems for opponents.
This ability sometimes lets Neon see through walls, giving her an advantage over her opponents.
Neon disabled in Valorant until 12.09
Because of this, Riot Games has temporarily removed the Agent from the game and plans to implement some adjustments.
We found a glitch with the character Neon’s Fast Lane ability on PC that was creating an unfair advantage in competitive matches. To resolve this, we’re temporarily removing her from the game until update 12.09, when the bug is fixed, as announced on X.
Riot also mentioned that Neon is currently too strong in certain areas and they plan to fix this in the 12.09 update, after which she’ll be available to play again. They’ve been developing these adjustments for some time now.
It’s happening.

It’s unclear exactly what Riot will change about Neon, but recent updates have focused on her. For example, the 12.08 patch addressed a bug with her High Gear ability.
The 11.08 update included adjustments to Neon, like all other Agents, to increase how long she can sprint, but it also made her energy recharge slower.
Riot Games has disabled Agents before because of abilities that were too strong. A recent instance happened in late June with the Agent Omen. A glitch with his Dark Cover ability let players spawn on the enemy’s side of the map, so Riot temporarily removed him from the game.
