On May 6th, 1320Video announced on Instagram that Loftis had passed away the previous night.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kyle Loftis, founder of 1320video. We are all shocked by this news.
Kyle’s love for racing touched millions, and his contributions to the sport will never be forgotten. He brought a bright energy to every event, and his positive attitude, generosity, and innovative spirit were infectious. We hope he has found peace.

At the time of writing, the cause of Loftis’s death has not been publicly announced.
He died following a serious car accident he had in early 2026. While reports said he’d recovered, the crash worried his fans and was widely discussed for the past four months.
No connection between the crash and his death has been officially confirmed.
Just two weeks before he passed away, Loftis made one of his final public appearances on YouTube, appearing on the channel of car enthusiast Cleetus McFarland.
In the video, McFarland surprised Loftis with a Corvette C8 – the car he’d always wanted. The car even had a special engraving featuring a meaningful quote from Loftis’s father.
