YouTuber faces $26K fine for dressing as mascot and sneaking onto pitch during Euro 2024 match

A YouTuber who ran onto the field during the first match of Euro 2024 could face fines as high as $26,000.

Marvin, a German YouTuber, has become popular for his undercover investigations. He sneaks into places and events to uncover information and often plays pranks along the way.

He caused trouble for himself when he ran onto the field before a Germany versus Scotland game at Euro 2024.

Marvin Wildhage pretended to be a mascot for big game

Wildhage disguised himself as Albart, the Euro 2024 mascot, and used fake documents to bypass security, allowing him to get onto the field and near the players. This incident sparked significant worries about the overall security of the event.

Wildhage posted a video showing everything that happened, but now he’s facing criminal charges and could be fined a large amount of money because of it.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on May 13th, facing charges of forging documents and fraudulently obtaining services.

So, it looks like Wildhage is facing around a $20,000 fine! That’s what the authorities are asking for – basically 70 days at almost $300 a day. He wasn’t happy with that amount, so now it’s heading to court. Hopefully, it gets resolved fairly, but it’s a pretty hefty sum! I’m curious to see how it all plays out.

The fine could be increased by another $6,300 to account for the money Wildhage reportedly earned from the video.

Adding to his legal troubles, YouTuber Wildhage could potentially face up to a year in prison for sharing screenshots of his penalty notice earlier this year, according to legal expert Marc Wederhake. However, this charge might be dropped if he’s convicted in the main case.

News about this ongoing legal matter arrives as YouTube personality Fred Beyer received a lifetime ban from the NFL after rushing the field at a Draft Day event in Pittsburgh.
