Monster Hunter Outlanders Closed Beta Test 2 is now live, new Adventurers and Radiant Monsters revealed

Today, TiMi Studio Group (part of Tencent Games) and Capcom have started the second closed beta test for Monster Hunter Outlanders on both iOS and Android devices.

So, they just launched a test for the game, and it’s awesome! They’ve also shown off some new characters – both the heroes you play as and the monsters you’ll fight. I’m jumping in right now, and you can play solo or team up with up to three friends. It’s available for players who signed up and got selected in a bunch of regions – China, Japan, a few places in Asia like Malaysia and the Philippines, and then the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Spain, and the UK. Hopefully, everyone who wants to try it got in!

The second closed beta for Monster Hunter Outlanders, a mobile action RPG based on the popular Monster Hunter games, is now underway.

Players in 11 countries can now begin a new adventure in the intriguing world of Aesoland. They’ll team up with others to explore the continent and discover its hidden mysteries through quests and exploration.

Monster Hunter Outlanders, a new mobile game developed by TiMi Studio Group and officially licensed by CAPCOM, stays true to the core Monster Hunter gameplay while being designed for on-the-go play. This 2nd Closed Beta is a chance for players to get an early preview and provide valuable feedback that will help shape the game’s development.

Forge Your Legacy as New Adventurers

Embark on a new adventure with a fresh group of characters, each bringing unique skills to the hunt. These new Adventurers fill three distinct roles:

Assault (Excels at dealing high damage)

Midori is a powerful attacker who wields a long sword concealed within her shamisen. She fights with a graceful yet deadly style, expertly dodging attacks and swiftly turning her opponent’s moves against them to create openings for devastating counterattacks.

Pyro is a powerful Great Sword fighter who loves taking on the toughest enemies. He grows stronger by constantly attacking and charging into battle, finishing off opponents with incredibly powerful blows that leave nothing standing.

Disruptor (Controls monsters and applies debuffs)

Okay, so I’ve been playing Pepper, the Heavy Bowgun user, and she’s seriously cool. She’s all about messing with monsters – I can actually bounce off of them to launch into some crazy aerial attacks! Plus, her ultimate ability doesn’t just stop a monster’s attack, it also slows them down, making it way easier to keep the pressure on. It’s a really unique playstyle.

Keres is a Dual Blades adventurer who’s a bit of a thrill-seeker. She’s energetic and loves the excitement of the hunt, and she’s incredibly skilled at quickly defeating monsters with a flurry of attacks.

Support (Buffs, heals, and rescues allies)

Madelyn is a support character who uses her incredible archery skills to spread spores with each arrow. These spores gradually build up, and when they fully bloom, they explode, dealing damage to enemies and boosting Madelyn’s powers. Her ultimate ability significantly increases the attacking power of the entire team.

Confront Radiant Monsters

A strange substance on Aesoland is making some monsters stronger and more aggressive. When hunting, these ‘Radiant’ monsters can enter a frenzied state, making fights much harder, even for experienced hunters. The next test build will add more of these powerful Radiant Monsters, including Radiant Diablos, Anjanath, Barroth, Rathian, and Pukei-Pukei. You’ll also be able to hunt familiar faces like Diablos, Rathian, Anjanath, Paolumu, Great Jagras, and Tobi-Kadachi.

Explore the Untamed Continent of Aesoland

Aesoland boasts a wide range of landscapes, each shaped by its unique weather and land features. From the high mountains of the Giantwood to the hot, dry Searing Plains, every area is full of different plants and animals, valuable resources, and mysteries to discover. To succeed in these varied environments, players will need to adapt, crafting tools and building temporary camps to help them explore and uncover Aesoland’s hidden depths.

Hunt Alongside New Buddies

Alongside the familiar Palico, who partners with Assault Adventurers, we’re introducing two new Buddies: Rutaco, who helps Disruptor Adventurers, and Trillan, who supports Support Adventurers. Each Buddy has their own unique personality and skills, and can be trained to become an even stronger ally. Plus, pairing a Buddy with the right Adventurer unlocks special teamwork bonuses.

A Flexible Hunt for Every Playstyle

Explore the open world of Aesoland either by yourself or with up to four friends in co-op. When you’re not hunting, you can enjoy classic Monster Hunter activities like crafting new equipment and getting ready for the challenges ahead.
