The Blood of Dawnwalker launches September 3 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC

Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves have revealed that their game, The Blood of Dawnwalker, will be released on September 3rd, and pre-orders are available now.

Today, a special Collector’s Edition was announced, including a Day One Edition and an Eclipse Edition with extra digital content.

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco announced today that their dark fantasy action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 3rd. The latest trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker reveals the characters players will meet as Coen travels through the game’s world. Some will help him, while others will oppose him, but each one is important to the story. Rebel Wolves also showed off brand new areas within Vale Sangora, a fascinating region in the Carpathian Mountains, and shared details about how they designed the game’s expansive open world.

The development team showcased over 10 minutes of gameplay from the latest PC version, highlighting the story-focused open-world aspects. The footage showed players how exploring the game world can unlock new skills, uncover hidden lore, and create surprising obstacles that change their adventure. It also demonstrated that choices players make will impact the power dynamics within the game’s valley, emphasizing that every decision has repercussions in The Blood of Dawnwalker.

I got a really detailed look at everything in the game! The team at Rebel Wolves – Piotr Kucharski (the writer), Daria Bury-Zawada (who leads the gameplay animation), Maciej Wiśniewski (a senior level designer), and Dorota Rutkowska (the producer) – walked me through all the features, how the gameplay works, and the story itself. It was awesome to hear directly from them about all the details!

The game’s creators released a video showing how former UFC champion Jan Błachowicz helped bring one of the villains, Bakir, to life. Błachowicz did the motion capture for the character, and shared how his fighting skills made the game’s combat feel more realistic and powerful, ensuring each hit feels impactful.

You can now pre-order the game for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. We’ve also announced details about the different versions, including a special limited Collector’s Edition. Besides the standard digital version and the Day One Edition, players can get the Eclipse Edition, which comes with extra digital content like a game guide, the soundtrack, and a digital comic book.
