A new dating simulator featuring the popular Ultraman franchise is out, and this time, players can even go on dates with Zetton – a famously powerful and dangerous monster from the series!
Love with Space Dinosaur Zetton: After Episode is just the newest of many strange dating games where you romance a monster that threatens to destroy the world.
If you’re not familiar with the Ultraman series, Zetton is one of its most famous monsters. Ultraman is a popular Japanese science fiction show featuring giant heroes who fight monsters (called kaiju) to save the Earth.
Zetton first appeared as the ultimate villain in the 1966 Ultraman series, famously being the one to defeat Ultraman. Now, how do you follow up on that? By taking the show’s strongest monsters and turning them into characters in a dating simulator game!
Killer kaiju turned romantic partner
Following its release on April 27th, “Love with Space Dinosaur Zetton” reimagines the once-destructive monster as a gentle, somewhat shy love interest, mirroring the spirit of the original games.
The latest installment, After Episode, features ten emotionally powerful conclusions, and boasts twice as much dialogue and three times the computer-generated imagery of previous releases.
The first games focused on lighthearted dates and school life with a monster threatening to destroy the world. However, the new sequel suggests a more serious and unsettling take on relationships with this giant creature.
The story begins with a heartbreaking realization: simply being near the person the main character loves is slowly killing them. They discover an unseen poison emanating from Zetton, which means their time together is limited.
