CloverPit is the latest indie game to become incredibly popular, winning over many players. Taking strong inspiration from games like Balatro and Buckshot Roulette, this rogue-lite has earned over 2,500 reviews on Steam, with an impressive 92% being positive. Thousands have already jumped in to try their luck – and skill – as they attempt to pay off debts and earn their freedom. Currently, CloverPit is only playable on computers; it’s not yet available on consoles. But could that change in the future?
ColverPit on PS5, Xobox or Switch? All we know about console release
Currently, the developers haven’t made any official announcement regarding a possible console version. They seem just as surprised by the success of CloverPit. Their earlier game, Yellow taxi goes vroom, didn’t achieve nearly the same level of popularity, only reaching a peak of 174 concurrent players (according to SteamDB).
However, the CloverPit community is already substantial. The game has drawn over 22,000 players at the same time, according to SteamDB. This suggests a significant number of people are eagerly awaiting a console version. We might hear an official announcement in the near future. It’s an exciting time for fans!
We strongly believe that CloverPit will eventually be released on consoles. The game has been successful, and many players are asking for it to be ported. It’s common for popular indie games on Steam to also come to Switch, Xbox, and PS5. PC gaming allows developers to fund their projects, get noticed, and refine their games (or even finish them if they’re in early access) because it’s a simple platform to publish on.
