Trey Yesavage often receives trading cards from fans, but he has a policy of not signing them. Instead, he typically just holds onto the cards himself.
The Toronto Blue Jays’ star pitcher has quickly become one of the biggest names in Major League Baseball.
He’s so popular that fans are always asking for his autograph on their collectibles. But don’t bother sending him anything in the mail – it’s unlikely you’ll ever get it back.
Trey Yesavage doesn’t want people to send him trading cards
On the newest episode of The Hobby Never Sleeps podcast, Yesavage talked about people’s strong interest in baseball cards, but revealed he doesn’t collect them himself.
He does keep a small collection of his cards at home, which fans have sent to him. He explained that people often mail him cards hoping he’ll sign and return them, but he doesn’t sign them and they won’t be sent back.
I save a few cards for myself and share some with my family, but I don’t personally collect valuable or expensive cards.

When asked about getting the first version of the update, Yesavage became much more excited. He said, “Absolutely, I’ll be looking for it as soon as it’s available.”
This pitcher doesn’t really enjoy playing card games, but Will Klein is a big fan of collecting trading cards, particularly Pokémon. He recently received a custom glove featuring Tyranitar, a Pokémon character he loves, as a gift.
