Arrest warrant issued for Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson over dog’s death

Following a dog’s death near his home in Atlanta, an arrest warrant has been issued for Tyrese Gibson.

Tyrese Gibson is most famous for playing Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious series. He’s also been in the Transformers films, as well as movies like Four Brothers, Death Race, and Morbius.

However, the actor has recently been in the news for negative reasons, as his four dogs are accused of fatally attacking a neighbor’s animal.

The actor’s lawyer states he is fully co-operating with investigators, however, several key questions about the event are still unanswered, such as the current location of his dogs.

Tyrese Gibson wanted for questioning over dog’s death

Entertainment Weekly reports that a warrant for the arrest of Tyrese Gibson has been issued. This follows a claim by a neighbor in Atlanta that four of Gibson’s dogs were responsible for the death of his pet.

I was reading a police report from the Fulton County Police Department, and it’s just awful. Apparently, Harrison Parker, who lives near Gibson in Buckhead, called 911 on September 18th. He said Gibson’s Cane Corso dogs got out and tragically, they killed his little Cavalier King Charles spaniel. It’s just heartbreaking to hear about something like that.

According to police, footage showed Gibson’s dogs scratching at a door across the street just before the incident. They also stated that Parker’s dog died shortly after being allowed outside into the front yard.

I was shocked to read that the dogs had been running loose at least five times before they attacked, and apparently, the owner, Gibson, had been warned about it multiple times. It’s just awful to think this could have been prevented. It really makes you think about responsible pet ownership.

Following the incident, officials state that Gibson first consented to give up his dogs, but later decided against it. The Animal Services Department secured both a search warrant for his property and an arrest warrant due to suspected animal cruelty; however, the dogs had already been moved from the premises.

Gibson “co-operating fully” with authorities

Gabe Banks, EW reports, is Gibson’s lawyer and stated that he relocated the dogs to a different residence.

The statement reads, “Mr. Tyrese Gibson expresses his heartfelt sympathy to the family who sadly lost their dog in this tragic event, which happened while Mr. Gibson was traveling.” It continues, “As soon as he learned about this unfortunate accident, Mr. Gibson made the tough choice to find a secure and caring new home for his own dogs.”

Regarding the minor warrant issued, Mr. Gibson is working with law enforcement to handle and fix this situation properly. Mr. Gibson requests privacy and asks for understanding while the legal process unfolds. He continues to prioritize the safety of his community and the welfare of all animals.
