West Wilson Knows ‘My Actions Have Hurt People That I Care About’

West Wilson, star of Summer House and host of the Show Me Something podcast with WNBA player Sophie Cunningham, recently addressed the negative public reaction to his developing relationship with Amanda Batula. He admitted things have moved quickly and he’s been trying to avoid reading online comments, calling the internet a “scary place.” Wilson expressed concern that Amanda has been unfairly targeted, sharing that her phone number was leaked and she received abusive messages, including being called a hurtful name. He emphasized that such language is unacceptable and untrue.

The new relationship between Wilson and Batula quickly became a topic of discussion for several reasons. They work and appear on Bravo together, Batula had just separated from her husband, Kyle Cooke, and Wilson had previously dated Batula’s close friend, Ciara Miller, who supported her during the breakup. There was also confusion about when the relationship began, which Wilson addressed directly. He clarified that he and Batula didn’t start dating until after both were single, dismissing rumors of infidelity with Miller. According to Wilson, their relationship became serious around February, and that’s when it began – there isn’t much more to the story.

He shared that he’s still reaching out to his fellow cast members to apologize. He’s sent texts, but hasn’t heard back from everyone, which he understands. He admits the most difficult part is knowing his actions have hurt people he cares about. He’s hoping to apologize in person when the reunion happens. Ultimately, the decision about West Wilson’s future rests with Andy Cohen.
