In Shadows of Willow Cabin, past traumas manifest as haunting physical sensations. Writer-director Joe Fria (known for his work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and The Belko Experiment) skillfully blends a queer love story with supernatural horror in his first feature film. The result is a dark, atmospheric, and deeply unsettling experience that feels like a disturbing dream.

After premiering at Grimmfest 2025, the film Shadows of Willow Cabin will be available to rent or buy digitally in the UK from May 25th, released by GrimmVision.

Albert, played by Bryan Bellomo, and Devon, played by John Brodsky, both seeking something more, escape to a secluded mountain cabin after connecting through a dating app. Their initial attraction quickly grows into a passionate relationship, but they soon discover the cabin holds secrets of its own.

The cabin feels haunted, filled with echoes of the past, and the couple finds themselves unable to escape.
