Every New Movie and Show Coming to Hulu in October 2025

As a movie reviewer, I’m seeing that October is shaping up to be Hulu‘s biggest month! They really lean into the Halloween spirit with their ‘Huluween’ campaign, bringing us a ton of both original and classic spooky content. And this year doesn’t disappoint. We’re getting a wave of genuinely chilling new movies and series. On the film front, expect some fresh, original supernatural tales, plus a remake of a super famous psychological thriller from the ’90s – I’m definitely looking forward to checking that one out!

For television, the last season of a popular animated science fiction series is on its way. Hulu will also debut a drama based on a fascinating 2023 murder case. As a lighter option amidst all the suspense, Hulu is offering a new comedy special. Plus, several classic horror films are becoming available just in time for the spooky season. Let’s take a look at everything new coming to Hulu for this Huluween!

‘Stay’

Streaming October 8

What’s a better way to celebrate Huluween than with a brand-new original horror movie? Stay tells the story of Kiara and Miles, a young couple whose romance blossoms as they move in together and start building a life. However, their peaceful existence is soon disrupted when sinister spirits make their presence known. These ghosts physically trap the couple inside their home, forcing them to face past traumas and the events that led them to this frightening situation.

Stay stars Megalyn Echikunwoke as Kiara and Mo McRae as Miles. Jas Summers wrote and directed the film. Hulu has consistently delivered good original movies for Huluween, so this is one to watch out for. Just remember it’s different from the 2005 movie with Ewan McGregor, which you can also find on Hulu. Stay will begin streaming on October 8.

‘Frankie Quiñones: Damn That’s Crazy’

Streaming October 10

Let’s switch gears from scary movies and take a look at a new comedy special: Frankie Quiñones: Damn That’s Crazy. Frankie Quiñones has been performing stand-up for several years. He first gained attention with his web series, Juanita Carmelita, and then started performing at bigger comedy clubs. You might also recognize him from Hulu’s 2022 comedy series, This Fool.

Quiñones’ latest special delivers everything fans expect from his stand-up. He shares stories about his family, growing up, past relationships, and navigating issues of race. If you’re new to Quiñones’ comedy, we recommend checking out This Fool, which has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Frankie Quiñones: Damn That’s Crazy will be available to stream on Hulu starting October 10.

‘The Hand That Rocks the Cradle’ (2025 Remake)

Streaming October 22

As the title suggests, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle is a reimagining of the 1992 suspense film. The first movie centered on a doctor who took his own life after a patient accused him of misconduct. The doctor’s wife, devastated by the news and a subsequent miscarriage, then took a job as a nanny for the family of the accuser, seeking to get her revenge. Although it wasn’t a hit with critics, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle did very well at the box office.

The new version of this film features Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Maika Monroe, Raul Castillo, Riki Lindhome, and Martin Starr. It’s not yet known how similar this remake will be to the original story, but the preview suggests it will deliver familiar horror elements, tension, and a quest for revenge. The Hand That Rocks The Cradle will be available on Hulu starting October 22, and those who enjoyed the first film can find it on Hulu beginning October 1.

‘Solar Opposites’ (Season 6)

Streaming October 13

I’m a bit sad to hear that Solar Opposites will be ending with its sixth season, coming in October! It’s such a funny show, created by the same person behind Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland. The series follows this wonderfully weird alien family – Korvo, Terry, Jesse, and Yumyulack – after their ship crashes right here on Earth. Since it first came out in 2020, it’s been a real hit with both critics and viewers, even getting nominated for some Annie Awards. Sadly, Justin Roiland had to leave after Season 3 due to allegations of domestic abuse – which also meant he left Rick and Morty, too.

Dan Stevens took over for Roiland in the show’s cast, joining Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack. A preview showed that the new season will be full of more mayhem and damage, and it strongly suggested that one of the Solar Opposites family members might not survive. However, this season may not be the absolute end. The official poster said “final season – for now,” implying that there could be more to come. All 10 episodes of Solar Opposites’ final-ish season will be available to stream on October 13.

‘Murdaugh: Death in the Family’ (Miniseries)

In 2023, attorney Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of killing his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, in 2021. The case drew widespread attention, leading to numerous podcasts and documentaries. One of the most well-known was Netflix’s Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, which premiered while the trial was still ongoing. The forthcoming Murdaugh: Death in the Family miniseries represents the first fictionalized retelling of the events.

This series is based on the 2021 podcast Murdaugh Murders Podcast. The podcast provided ongoing coverage of the investigations and news related to the case as it happened. The Hulu miniseries features Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh, Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh, Johnny Berchtold as Paul Murdaugh, and Brittany Snow as Murdaugh Murders Podcast host Mandy Murphy. The eight-part series will launch with three episodes on October 15th, and then release one new episode each Wednesday, concluding on November 19th.
