Star Wars Reveals Official First Meeting of Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett (Exclusive)

If you haven’t heard, both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have created Galaxy’s Edge – a completely immersive area designed to make Star Wars fans feel like they’ve stepped onto another planet.

The main problem with Batuu is that it takes place within the timeline of the newer Star Wars sequels and doesn’t relate to the original films that many fans grew up with. While that’s perfectly acceptable, a lot of visitors were hoping to encounter iconic characters like Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Han Solo, or Luke Skywalker. Recently, Disneyland…

NEW SECRETS OF GALAXY’S EDGE REVEALED!

Okay, so I’m super excited about this new Star Wars comic! It follows Luke, Leia, and Chewie as they go to Batuu – you know, the planet from Galaxy’s Edge at Disney! They’re looking for some crucial information, but they end up finding this really dangerous artifact that gets them into trouble with the Empire. It’s written by Ethan Sacks, who also worked on the Galaxy’s Edge stories, and the art is by Jethro Morales and Roi Mercado. It sounds like a totally new adventure inspired by everything we love about that part of the Star Wars universe!

32 PGS./Rated T …$4.99

The preview shows Darth Vader hunting for Luke Skywalker, his son. At the same time, after Han Solo is captured by Boba Fett and frozen in carbonite as payment for his debt to Jabba the Hutt, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO travel to the planet Batuu to find out where Han Solo has been taken.

Shortly after landing and seeing the planet’s famous cities, Luke experiences a Force vision and sets off on his own. It’s revealed he’s being followed by Boba Fett, who is hunting him down due to a reward offered by the Empire.

Luke confronts Boba Fett, letting him know he recognizes him and knows about his involvement with Han. This implies it’s their first meeting. However, this contradicts events from the 2014 Star Wars comic series written by Jason Aaron, where Darth Vader was interested in the pilot who destroyed the Death Star and hired Boba Fett to find him.

Ultimately, Boba Fett was the one who told Darth Vader that Luke Skywalker was his son. This changes what we previously knew from Boba Fett’s first appearance in The Star Wars Holiday Special, but we now have a revised story of how Boba Fett and Luke first encountered each other.

Find out what happens by getting a copy of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire next week!
