Godzilla is back to wreak more havoc.
I’m so excited for the new Godzilla movie coming out later this year, Godzilla Minus Zero! It’s a sequel to Godzilla Minus One, which was amazing and even won an Oscar for its visual effects. That first movie, set in post-war Japan, told the story of a soldier named Koichi who ran away after facing Godzilla during the war, and it did really well in theaters, earning over $116 million worldwide. We haven’t known much about the sequel until recently, but I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The first trailer for Godzilla Minus One was just shown at CinemaCon. It features the family we met in the first movie and shows pieces of wreckage falling from the sky. The trailer ends with Godzilla walking past the Statue of Liberty, suggesting the monster will eventually reach America in this exciting new sequel.
