Pabst Blue Ribbon’s pickle beer collab with Grillo’s Pickles finally gets a release date

Pabst Blue Ribbon and Grillo’s Pickles have collaborated to create a beer that tastes like pickles – a flavor combination popular in many bars, now available in cans and bottles.

PBR and Grillo’s Pickles teamed up to create a special beer that was first revealed in October at the NACS show. Now, it’s confirmed this unique brew will be available across the country starting May 4th.

Okay, so you know how some of us gamers like to get a little weird with our drinks? There’s this thing, kinda a tradition, where people drop a pickle into their beer – seriously, it adds a surprisingly good flavor! Well, now someone’s actually bottled that whole ‘pickle and beer’ combo, so you can get that experience without having to DIY it. It’s a pre-made drink now, which is kinda wild!

This beer has a 4.7% alcohol content and combines the familiar taste of PBR lager with the bold, dill flavor of Grillo’s pickles. The result is a refreshing, tangy drink that’s balanced by the smooth, malty flavor of the beer.

According to Rachel Keeton, a Brand Director at Pabst, the company’s new pickle-flavored beer is a surprising twist even for its founder. It all started with someone casually adding a pickle to their beer, and now Pabst is embracing that idea with an official partnership with Grillo’s Pickles. Keeton promises the combination is surprisingly delicious.

Pickle beer heads to stores nationwide

PBR and Grillo’s have teamed up to create a pickle-flavored beer that will be available at popular stores nationwide, such as Walmart, Albertsons, Safeway, Publix, Food Lion, Total Wine & More, GoPuff, and KwikTrip.

Mark Luker, from Grillo’s, shared that they’ve been planning this partnership for a while and are thrilled it’s finally happening. He said PBR has been a fantastic collaborator, and the result is a really refreshing combination of both brands. They can’t wait for people who enjoy both beer and pickles to give it a try!

Okay, so pickle-flavored drinks are definitely a thing now. I remember back in March, KFC dropped a whole pickle menu in the UK, and get this – they even had a limited-edition Pickle Pepsi! It’s not the first time we’ve seen something like this this year, apparently.
