Ironmouse uses viral trampoline backlash to raise awareness for IDF

Ironmouse addressed a video of CDawgVA taking her on a trampoline, which sparked online criticism. She used the situation as an opportunity to explain her primary immune deficiency to viewers.

The VTuber explained her reaction on X (formerly Twitter) on April 14th, following a viral video. The video showed CDawgVA carrying an iPad displaying her avatar while bouncing on a trampoline – a heartwarming moment that many fans loved. She’s largely confined to her home due to a health condition.

Ironmouse has often discussed her life with common variable immune deficiency, or CVID, which is a type of primary immune deficiency.

Ironmouse educated critics on CVID

Ironmouse explained she usually doesn’t reply to criticism, but felt she needed to address recent negative comments because people didn’t seem to understand what it’s like to live with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH).

People with primary immune deficiencies often face severe limitations, sometimes being unable to leave their homes or even get out of bed. This makes living a typical life incredibly difficult for them.

Ironmouse expressed gratitude for her close-knit community and a friend who happily joins her in fun, even if it’s a little silly or unusual. She shared that she’s now experiencing things she previously thought were impossible.

The streamer concluded by urging those able to donate plasma and support the Immune Deficiency Foundation. They also offered encouragement to anyone struggling with a serious illness, reminding them they’re not alone, and included a link to the IDF’s X account for more information.

Because of a health condition, Ironmouse rarely leaves home and primarily connects with the world through streaming and online content. She’s also a strong advocate for plasma donation and raising awareness about primary immunodeficiency, and the Immune Deficiency Foundation has recognized her efforts.
