However, there’s still some uncertainty about whether or not this game will be available on platforms such as PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Dune Awakening – console (PS5, Xbox and Switch 2) release explained
As a gamer, I’ve got some exciting news! The game Dune: Awakening is now available on PC, and you can grab it on Steam. Initially, it was launched as a 1.0 version, which means the developers have a finished product, allowing them to start porting it to other platforms. However, things aren’t that straightforward with this game.
Dune: Awakening is actually a survival MMO, and unlike other games, it requires regular updates to keep players engaged. For instance, just over a week ago, CHOAM Salvage Rights was rolled out. So, even though it’s technically a completed title, expect more exciting content drops in the future!
During the PC release event, developers at Funcom shared that console versions would be released at a later date.
- Dune: Awakening will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2026. The exact date, however, is unknown.
- The MMORPG has not been announced for Nintendo Switch 2.
So, at this point, you have to be patient and wait for the future announcements from Funcom.
