It’s more than just a legal thriller; it’s a deeply honest and often painful look inside a marriage. ➽ Now streaming!

Atonement

As a film lover, I have to say Joe Wright’s adaptation of Ian McEwan’s novel is just stunning – beautifully shot and incredibly moving. The cast is phenomenal, with James McAvoy, Keira Knightley, Saoirse Ronan, and Vanessa Redgrave all delivering amazing performances. It’s a story that really stays with you, spanning years and feeling so real and human. Honestly, I think it’s one of the best films from the 2000s, and it even earned Academy Award nominations! ➽ You can stream it now.

The Bad Guys 2

Netflix is heavily invested in the world of The Bad Guys, with a Christmas special and a prequel series already available—and a second season of the series coming soon. It’s likely to gain a following over time. ➽ Streaming now.

Ghostbusters

Year: 1984

The original Ghostbusters remains a classic and is widely considered the best film in the series. It’s still hilarious and rightfully one of the most popular comedies of the 1980s. ➽ Now streaming!

Hell or High Water

Year: 2016
Runtime: 1h 42m
Director: David Mackenzie

David Mackenzie’s 2016 film, Hell or High Water, is increasingly seen as one of the best movies of the last ten years. It powerfully portrays how far people will go to protect their families, telling the story of two brothers (Chris Pine and Ben Foster) who turn to bank robbery to save their family farm. While the acting is superb across the board, it’s Taylor Sheridan’s brilliant writing that truly sets this film apart. ➽ Now available to stream.

Jaws

Runtime: 2h 4m
Director: Steven Spielberg

Everyone focuses on how Jaws revolutionized filmmaking, but it’s also a truly flawless movie. From the opening scene, it expertly builds suspense, and honestly, it doesn’t need a single change. It’s no surprise people are still analyzing it today. (Good news: all four Jaws movies are now available on Netflix!) ➽ Streaming now.

Licorice Pizza

Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2022 film, which received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, is worth revisiting now that his film One Battle After Another has won acclaim.
