Genshin Impact fans are eagerly anticipating the anime adaptation that was announced some time ago, but it looks like Honkai: Star Rail, another game made by HoYoverse, might get its anime first.
During a livestream today, Chinese entertainment giant announced they’re working with renowned Japanese animation studio MAPPA on a new project. The project will be directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, known for his work on Death Parade.
The press release calls the three-minute video a “concept trailer,” so it’s unclear what the future holds for the project, but the animation itself is fantastic.
As a huge fan, I was so thrilled to see Kafka get so much focus in the Honkai: Star Rail trailer – she’s definitely my favorite character! It was great to see other popular faces too, like Blade, Firefly, and of course, the Trailblazer. I can’t wait to see what happens with all of them!
Would you be excited to see this popular mobile game turned into a full anime series? Let us know who your favorite character is in the comments!
