YouTuber goes viral playing Red Dead Redemption 2 at a painful 4 FPS

A YouTuber recently gained a lot of attention online by playing Red Dead Redemption 2 at a very slow 4 frames per second. It took them an incredible 12 hours to complete just one mission in the game.

A content creator named Mongo TV shared a video of himself playing a game, and it quickly went viral because of how incredibly slow it was running. While most gamers try to achieve 30 to 60 frames per second, his computer could barely manage even a small percentage of that.

The Danish YouTuber is playing the game on a laptop that’s a few years old. It has an Intel i5-8300H processor and an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card with 4GB of video memory.

Even though his computer technically meets the game’s basic requirements, he’s been having a lot of trouble playing it.

YouTuber’s RDR2 playthrough could last nearly 500 hours

Mongo TV reported that finishing the first part of the game took them more than 12 hours, while most players complete it in about two hours.

When a game runs at only 4 frames per second, everything feels slow and unresponsive. Actions lag, making even simple things like moving, aiming, or riding a horse frustratingly difficult.

Due to a significant slowdown, players now estimate it will take over 400 hours to finish the game – much longer than usual. Current projections suggest a complete playthrough could take around 471 hours.

Gameplay videos have quickly become popular online, and people are reacting with a mix of amusement and disbelief at how much effort it takes to get through such a challenging game.

As a huge gaming fan, I think Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece – seriously, a lot of people consider it the best game ever made. And honestly, it’s a big reason why everyone is so incredibly excited for Rockstar’s next release, GTA 6!
