Man removed from dating event after ex-wife interrupts and claims they’re still married

At a dating event in Bengbu, China, a man was asked to leave when his ex-wife showed up and insisted they were still married, disrupting the event.

These days, single people have many options for finding a partner. Dating apps are extremely common – some even check how tall people are – but many still enjoy meeting people in person, through everyday activities.

In China, matchmaking events featuring a figure known as “Aunt Wang” are popular. Singles are often featured on stage and introduced to other attendees, hoping to find a match. These events have been happening for years and frequently result in successful pairings.

I read about this crazy thing that happened in Bengbu back in early April! Apparently, a guy was competing in something when his ex-wife showed up claiming they were still married. People actually had to step in and sort things out – it was a really awkward situation!

Man’s ex interrupts dating event

I was reading about this crazy thing that happened, and apparently this 51-year-old guy was on a dating app. He told people he was divorced and almost immediately hit it off with two women, even saying one was a ‘perfect’ match! But then, one of the women suddenly confronted him, asking why he was pretending to be single and even saying, ‘Have you forgotten who I am?’ It got really intense – she ended up slapping and scratching his face! I couldn’t believe it when I read about it.

Prosecutors claimed the 51-year-old man deliberately waited for the woman to use the restroom before registering his complaint. The show’s host strongly condemned this alleged behavior, calling him despicable if the accusation was accurate.

I specifically asked for only single individuals to come on stage. Your wife just left, and you immediately came up. You can’t even wait a moment, can you?” she remarked.

As per Guancha News, the man was confirmed to be single but was asked to leave due to the dispute.

Looking for a relationship the old-fashioned way lets you skip apps like Tinder, which recently added an AI feature that analyzes your photos to suggest better potential partners.
