Mysteria Studio, an independent game developer from Germany, is letting players try out their game, Asterfel, through an open playtest on Steam starting April 17th. This playtest is part of Steam’s Medieval Fest.
I recently stumbled across this cool new game called Asterfel! It’s an action RPG with a third-person perspective, and it’s giving me major vibes from the classic games I grew up with in the 2000s. It was announced last year for PC, and you can add it to your Steam wishlist right here. Mysteria Studio just dropped a new playtest trailer, which you can check out below, and their official website has all the details.
A nation torn apart by conflict awaits your influence – how will you decide its fate? Mysteria Studio is excited to announce the first playtest for their dark fantasy action RPG, Asterfel, starting April 17th as part of the Steam Medieval Fest. This is your first opportunity to discover Asterfel’s beautiful open world, try out different ways to fight, and defeat the monsters plaguing the land.
Asterfel is a new third-person action RPG reminiscent of classic games from the early 2000s. The game begins with you shipwrecked on Asterfel, an island suffering under a greedy king. Your choices will shape both your destiny and the fate of the island. You’ll need to pick a side in the conflict, learn the world’s secrets through compelling quests, and prepare to liberate Asterfel from the dangers that threaten it.
Key Features:
The island is haunted by a dark history of greed and war. The King’s mines, fueled by magic, have unleashed monstrous creatures and awakened a powerful, ancient God. Now, the island’s magic and natural world are unstable, and the dead are rising to cause destruction.
The island of Asterfel is split between three powerful groups: the Crown Wardens, the rebellious Kindred, and the mystical Scholars. You’ll need to choose a side – or perhaps play them all – to forge your own destiny.
Forge your path with steel and magic! This game features a deep and challenging combat system where you can fight with swords, bows, or powerful spells. Choose your preferred style – whether close-quarters or long-range – and customize your abilities to conquer any challenge.
Okay, so I just washed up on this planet called Asterfel after my ship went down. Now I’m basically starting over! I get to take on whatever jobs I want, pick sides with different groups, scavenge for stuff, and build my own equipment. It’s all about making my own path here, which is pretty cool.
Explore a dangerous world filled with harsh deserts, thick jungles, and crumbling ruins. Be warned: the farther you venture, the tougher your enemies will be.
