Stephanie Nadolny, the voice of Kid Goku and both young and teenage Gohan in the Dragon Ball series, was recently incarcerated in Texas after being convicted of theft.
On January 13, 2026, voice actor Nadolny received a sentence for a crime committed on June 3, 2025. He was arrested in Texas for stealing property worth less than $2,500.
Because of previous convictions, especially several DUIs, the initial misdemeanor charge was increased to a much more serious felony, leading to a jail sentence.
Linda Woodman State Jail sentenced him to 180 days. He was eligible for parole starting March 4, 2026, and has apparently been released and returned home.
Dragon Ball voice actor serves jail sentence
So, apparently Nadolny got arrested in Tarrant County, Texas for stealing something. Honestly, I haven’t seen many details about what was stolen, it’s all pretty vague right now.
The voice actor was in jail during the first three months of 2026, but the story didn’t get much attention until Gamerant reported on it.
The 54-year-old American voice actress is famous for her work on the Dragon Ball series. She started dubbing the original Dragon Ball into English in the 1980s, where she voiced young Goku.
She famously voiced young and teenage Gohan in the original Dragon Ball Z series, and has also played both Goku and Gohan in various other adaptations. This work on the main series has opened doors to over thirty additional voice acting roles in movies, television shows, and video games.
She recently provided the English voice for young Goku in the anime series Dragon Ball Daima, which ran from October 2024 to February 2025. It’s currently unknown whether the show will be renewed for another season.
