Wayforward and Mighty Rabbit Studios have released Sigma Star Saga DX on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Sigma Star Saga DX, a revamped version of the classic Game Boy Advance shoot ’em up RPG, is available now for $19.99 on all digital platforms. Physical copies are available for pre-order from Limited Run Games until May 3rd. This updated version features improvements like a better map, fewer random battles, a more balanced experience system, polished dialogue, extra save points, and various bug fixes and quality-of-life enhancements.

Sigma Star Saga DX, created by the director of the Shantae series, Matt Bozon, is a unique blend of adventure, exploration, and fast-paced space combat. Players take on the role of Ian Recker, a pilot for the Allied Earth Federation, tasked with going undercover to stop the invading Krill empire. You’ll explore six planets on foot, finding powerful weapons and equipment to unlock new areas. When combat begins, the game shifts to exciting spaceship battles where you can customize your ship with over 70 different upgrades. With a memorable cast of characters and challenging boss fights, Sigma Star Saga DX delivers an epic and thrilling story.
Sigma Star Saga DX updates the original 2005 Game Boy Advance game with improvements made by the original developers, WayForward. These include a better map, fewer random battles, a more balanced experience system, refined auto-fire, extra save points, and bug fixes. This new version, brought to consoles and PC by Mighty Rabbit Studios using the Carbon Engine, also adds entirely new features. Highlights include a brand-new vocal theme song, “Jet Among the Stars,” by DemonDice and Megan McDuffee, along with a concept art gallery, music player, customizable borders, a rewind function, and save states.

There are two editions: the Standard Edition ($34.99) which includes the game and manual, and the Classic Edition ($69.99).
