Okay, so if you’re like me – totally obsessed with shooters and spend way too much time digging through Steam trying to find those hidden awesome games – you’re gonna be hyped about this news! Seriously, just the title probably got you grinning.
Fans have been waiting almost five years, but the sequel to the atmospheric shooter INDUSTRIA is finally on its way.
A Surprise Arrival from East Berlin
Bleakmill Studio just announced that INDUSTRIA 2, the sequel to their popular 2021 game, will be released next week on April 15th – much earlier than fans expected!
The project, developed over the past three years by a small team of eight developers working remotely around the world, is finally ready. The team shared on X (formerly Twitter) that they’re incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished, despite being a small group.
A new trailer was released alongside the game’s release date, giving players a better look at the gameplay—including some scary enemies! You can watch it below.
Just a quick reminder, INDUSTRIA is a first-person shooter game that first came out in 2021. It takes a lot of inspiration from the game Half-Life and the steampunk style. The first game is set in a turbulent 1980s East Berlin, where artificial intelligence has gone completely haywire—though thankfully, this isn’t happening in real life!
Returning to the current game, INDUSTRIA 2 is a direct continuation of the story, but it’s also charting its own course. It focuses more on terrifying biomechanical elements and is developing a distinct style, moving beyond its inspiration from Half-Life to offer a fresh, modern, and refined single-player adventure.
INDUSTRIA 2 is launching much earlier than expected – it will be available next week, on April 15th.
Okay, so the sequel picks up years after the first game, and things are seriously messed up for Nora! She’s stuck in another dimension, totally far from home, and her main mission is to get back to 1989 East Berlin. But it’s not going to be easy – she keeps getting pulled back into the world of ATLAS, that powerful AI from the first game, because of a bunch of unexpected events. And get this – we’re going to find out Nora has a really deep connection to ATLAS, which is just…wow. Honestly, I’m so excited to uncover all the mysteries!
