John Stamos, known for his role on Full House, is thrilled that the Artemis II astronauts are recreating the show’s iconic opening sequence while in space.
The four astronauts of the Artemis II mission are on their way back to Earth after reaching the farthest distance from our planet that any human has ever traveled.
The four-member crew – Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen – flew past the Moon on a journey that took them 252,756 miles away from Earth.
During the mission, the team playfully referenced the alien Rocky from the book ‘Project Hail Mary,’ with NASA repeating Rocky’s catchphrase, ‘amaze, amaze, amaze.’ The astronauts also took moments to enjoy some lighthearted, sitcom-style fun.

The Artemis II astronauts shared a fun video yesterday, April 6, 2026, playfully recreating the opening scene of a classic, somewhat silly 1980s TV show. They set the scene to the familiar theme song from Full House.
As the astronauts worked on the spacecraft, they each looked at the camera and smiled while their name and job were displayed on screen. The video also includes clips of them working out and having fun.
Just in case it wasn’t obvious, the video concludes with Commander Wiseman explaining that they were playfully imitating cheesy 1980s sitcoms when introducing the characters – that’s why they filmed those scenes. He adds that they were all having a lot of fun doing it.

Alongside a video, NASA playfully referenced the theme song from the show Full House, writing: “Wherever you look, wherever they go – it’s the Artemis II crew! These four astronauts are traveling in NASA’s Orion capsule – about the size of two minivans – on their way to orbit the Moon. You could definitely call it a full crew!”
John Stamos, known for his role as Jesse Katsopolis on Full House, reacted playfully to a video, joking on Instagram that if aliens landed today, they’d assume humanity is all about hugs, heartwarming advice, and him solving problems quickly.
