Disney+ offers a wide variety of content, going beyond just classic Disney animated movies. The streaming service also includes shows and movies from popular brands owned by Disney, like National Geographic, Star Wars, and ESPN.
This streaming service is great for all kinds of entertainment, including movies, documentaries, live sports, and special events. When you combine it with Disney+ and Hulu, you get even more to watch! Together, these services offer a wide range of high-quality shows and movies, with fresh content added every month.
Hulu tends to offer movies for adults, with a mix of serious films and comedies. Disney+, on the other hand, focuses on family-friendly content and documentaries. Starting in April 2026, both Disney+ and Hulu will release a wide variety of new movies, from big-budget blockbusters to lesser-known favorites.
Zootopia 2 (2025)
Since its release on Disney+ on March 11th, Zootopia 2 has been incredibly popular, consistently topping the streaming charts. It’s one of Disney’s newest animated films and is quickly becoming a favorite.
The sequel to the popular 2016 film Zootopia brings back familiar and much-loved characters, and introduces a new standout, Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan. The movie has been a critical and audience success, earning a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and grossing $428 million domestically and $1.8 billion worldwide in theaters.
The latest Zootopia movie has been a huge success in theaters and continues to be very popular on Disney+, staying at the top of the streaming charts since it was added last month. This ongoing popularity makes a third movie more likely.
Pizza Movie (2026)
Pizza Movie is available on Disney+ through the Hulu-Disney bundle, as of April 3.
Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney, a comedy team known for their sketches, created the film Pizza Movie. The story is straightforward: two college students, Jack (Gaten Matarazzo) and Montgomery (Sean Giambrone), attempt to pick up a pizza delivery at their dorm. Their only obstacle? The hallucinogenic effects of a drug they took earlier that evening.
Hulu’s new comedy has quickly become a standout in the stoner comedy genre. In an interview on Caleb Hearon’s podcast, So True with Caleb Hearon, actor Pat Matarazzo shared what he believes made the film successful. He explained that the creators, Kocher and McElhaney, didn’t try to appeal to everyone. Instead, they focused on a specific audience and made a movie just for them.
The product is an absurd, sometimes gross, yet ultimately hysterical late-night comedy.
No Other Choice (2025)
Park Chan-wook’s newest movie, No Other Choice, is a funny but thought-provoking film that criticizes the harsh realities of competition in a world where opportunities are becoming scarce.
This South Korean comedy tells the story of a man who loses his job and takes extreme measures to get a new one. While it has similar themes of social class as the acclaimed film Parasite, it’s a unique and darkly humorous story all its own.
The movie No Other Choice is a unique blend of silly humor, suspenseful mystery, and thoughtful social commentary – often all at once. Critics have praised it, with Ebaster giving it an 8 out of 10. It will be available on Hulu and Disney+ starting April 24th for those with a subscription bundle, and is produced by Neon.
Sentimental Value (2025)
The award-winning Norwegian film, Sentimental Value, is now available to watch on Hulu and Disney+. It’s a moving story about two sisters who rebuild their relationship with their father, a well-known filmmaker they haven’t seen in a while.
The film Sentimental Value was a major success in 2025, earning nine Academy Award nominations and ultimately winning Best International Feature. Critics and audiences alike loved it, and it currently holds a perfect score from Ebaster as well as a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
If you missed it in theaters, the critically acclaimed film Sentimental Value is now available to stream on Hulu and Disney+. You can watch it alongside other films nominated for the 2026 Oscars, like The Secret Agent.
Orangutan (2026)
On April 22nd, for Earth Day, Disney+ will premiere the original documentary Orangutan from Disneynature. Disneynature, a part of Disney Entertainment, focuses on making nature documentaries.
Orangutan is a documentary that follows Indah, a young orangutan, as she learns to live independently and leaves her family for the first time. Though focused on orangutans, the film captures a universal experience: the emotional, yet natural, transition from childhood to adulthood that all families understand.
The 87-minute documentary, Orangutan, is narrated by Josh Gad, who many know as the voice of Olaf from Disney’s Frozen. It will be available on Disney+ as part of their Earth Month celebration, alongside other nature films from Disneynature and National Geographic.
Good Boy (2025)
The horror movie Good Boy will be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ starting April 25th. It’s been described as similar in tone to the surprisingly scary kids’ cartoon Courage the Cowardly Dog. The film is a haunted house story where the family dog tries to shield his owners from a sinister force that only he can detect.
Released in theaters on October 3, 2025, Good Boy earned $6.6 million domestically and $8.7 million internationally. Despite a small $2 million budget, the horror film has been well-received by critics. Ebaster gave it a 6 out of 10, calling it “Weirdly Comforting.”
Director Ben Leonberg’s dog, Indy, stars in the film and has been praised for his impressive acting debut. He delivered a truly captivating performance.
