Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room have released a new trailer for *Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2*, showcasing the Banu Haqim, a playable vampire clan. Players will be able to create their character, Phyre, as a member of this clan.
Similar to earlier trailers for the Tremere and Ventrue clans, the new Banu Haqim trailer highlights the clan’s unique skills, preferences, and overall personality. It also introduces several Banu Haqim characters who live in Seattle, including Niko Angelov, who serves as the clan’s trainer.
The Banu Haqim, also called the Judges, are vampires who live by a strict set of rules – whether those come from religion, government laws, or their own moral code. In earlier versions of the *Vampire: The Masquerade* game, this clan was known as the Assamites and was inspired by the historical Order of Assassins from the 11th century. How the Banu Haqim were developed for *Bloodlines 2* was explained in a developer’s blog post in 2024.
The trailer gives us a look at some of the powers Phyre will use as a Banu Haqim vampire. These abilities emphasize both fighting and sneaking, fitting the clan’s reputation for punishing wrongdoers. We see powers that let Phyre silence enemies, briefly slow down time, and even turn invisible.
The newest video introduces viewers to Niko Angelov at Aurora Pawn, where he discusses clan backgrounds and unique abilities, known as Disciplines. Here’s what’s covered:
“Bladed Hand”: Slash swiftly in front of you, beheading weaker opponents.
“Split Second”: Move so fast that time appears to stop around you.
“Mute”: Silence your target’s screams and weapons.
“Unseen Aura”: Become temporarily invisible to enemies and civilians.
“Unseen Passage” – Clan Perk: Can remain crouched whilst sprinting.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be released on October 21, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. More details about the game, including its combat, social interactions, and enemies, have also been revealed.
