Fans recently found a hidden message recorded by Jeff Goldblum in an old Jurassic Park video game, even though the game came out years ago.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a challenging 1997 video game inspired by the movie. Players can control both dinosaurs and the characters trying to capture them. Though it’s known for being very difficult, very few players have actually experienced the game’s ending.
Jeff Goldblum plays a key part in the story. While he’s famous for playing the charming Dr. Ian Malcolm, he shows up as part of an old video that became popular online years later, mainly because of its message encouraging people to spend more time outdoors.
Secret Jeff Goldblum video game message goes viral
Okay, so I just finished everything in the game – got all the collectibles and beat the campaign – and I unlocked a really cool little video! It’s Jeff Goldblum, and it’s all retro and grainy. He basically congratulates you for finishing, but then immediately tells you to stop playing! It’s so weird and awesome.
“Congratulations, if you can hear me! You really did it – you made it through all of that, and now it’s over. That’s a huge accomplishment. You faced a massive, terrifying dinosaur and lived to tell the tale!” Jeff Goldblum says this while seemingly on a sandy beach on Isla Sorna.
He acknowledged their persistence, saying, “You’re really something. Thanks for not giving up.” Then, he jokingly told them to go outside and get some fresh air.
Look, I’m telling you, just power it down! Seriously, go outside and get some fresh air. Take a walk, call a friend, maybe even someone you’re interested in – you know what I mean. There’s a whole world waiting, and you need to step away from all this. Just completely shut it off, and go! Really, just turn it off and go live your life.
If you beat the Sega CD game Jurassic Park, Jeff Goldblum would give you some advice: ‘Breathe, take a walk, and go talk to someone you’re attracted to!’ It’s a pretty funny message to get after saving the day. 😭

The video is now widely popular online, and after many years, people are just now finding a hidden message within it. Many are shocked to learn that a Hollywood actor was secretly included, only accessible after fully completing the game.
One person commented that the situation clearly wasn’t planned, feeling very spontaneous and unscripted. They jokingly compared the person involved to the early advice to ‘go outside and touch grass’ – a way of telling someone to disconnect from online arguments and reconnect with the real world.
Someone else jokingly suggested completing the game so Jeff Goldblum’s character would tell you to turn off the console and ‘go get some action,’ calling the player a legend.
It’s not unusual for gamers to unearth old content long after a game’s release. Recently, a Japanese politician became an internet sensation when fans discovered she played Samus Aran in a classic Metroid advertisement.
