Exciting new products for the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie have been unveiled, including a full-size statue of He-Man! The film, set to release this summer, will be the second live-action version of the classic Mattel franchise, following the 1987 movie starring Dolph Lundgren.
He-Man and more revealed in new Masters of the Universe merch
Preternia recently revealed new toys based on the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. The collection includes action figures of popular characters like He-Man, Skeletor, and Trap-Jaw, plus a spaceship toy called the Fright Flight, seen in the film.
Also revealed were life-size figures of He-Man, Skeletor, and Bone Throne from Muckle Mannequins.
New photos from the movie have been released, showcasing the dramatic landscapes of Snake Mountain and Castle Grayskull. Snake Mountain is where Skeletor makes his home, and Castle Grayskull is where the Sorceress lives and where He-Man gets his powers.
The movie Masters of the Universe will be released in theaters on June 5, 2026. It tells the story of Adam Glenn, also known as He-Man, who returns to his home planet, Eternia, to take back what is rightfully his. He left Eternia as a child to escape a terrible war, and now he must team up with other warriors to fight Skeletor and his forces of evil.
Travis Knight directed the film. He’s previously known for directing the animated fantasy movie Kubo and the Two Strings and the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee.
The movie’s screenplay was a collaborative effort by Chris Butler, Dave Callaham, and brothers Aaron and Adam Nee. Aaron and Adam Nee also teamed up with Alex Litvak and Michael Finch to create the story. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, and Steve Tisch served as the film’s producers.
Nicholas Galitzine plays He-Man in the new film. The movie also features Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Kristen Wiig as Roboto, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, James Purefoy as King Randor, and Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, along with other talented actors.
Amazon MGM Studios will release the movie in the US and Canada, while Sony Pictures will distribute it in other countries around the world.
