As you explore Crimson Desert, you’ll discover towering structures called Spires. Each Spire holds a difficult puzzle to solve within its walls.

In Crimson Desert, you’ll eventually discover the Spire of Insight, found in the Demeniss region. This Spire challenges you to find hidden items after deciphering clues from a mysterious book. The clues aren’t straightforward, though – they’re intentionally vague and require careful interpretation.

Spire of Insight Location

You’ll find the Spire of Insight in the Steel Mountains, which are part of the Demeniss region. It’s located east of the Eastern Goblin Camp and is quite large, making it easy to see from a distance.

As you approach the Spire of Insight, you’ll be met by a group of enemies. Don’t worry, they’re relatively easy to overcome, so you should be able to defeat them without much difficulty.

How to Enter the Spire of Insight

When you reach the Spire of Insight, you’ll find the entrance covered in thick vines. You can clear them by using your Blinding Flash Focus Light ability to burn them away. Because the vines are so thick, it will take a little time, so hold your sword’s light steady on them until they start to burn.

After the vines are destroyed, go to the entrance of the Spire of Insight. You’ll find a plaque with the message: “When the earth’s foundations stir from their ancient rest and settle into position, time will start again.”

It might sound a little strange, but all you need to do is grab a small stone and place it in the bowl. Fortunately, there’s a stone right in front of the entrance to the Spire of Insight.

Once you place the pebble you found near the bowl, the door to the Spire of Insight will unlock, allowing you to enter and begin solving the puzzle inside.

Spire of Insight Puzzle Solution

The Spire of Insight puzzle in Crimson Desert requires you to locate certain items hidden within the spire and place them in the central bowl. A book located behind the bowl provides clues about which items are needed to solve the puzzle.

Floor #1: Gravestone

Reading the book on the first floor reveals a message: “Even years later, the marks left behind bring old stories back to life.” This is a clue pointing to a Gravestone located close by.

Okay, so I found this Gravestone sitting on the desk – it’s right next to a really bright painting and just beside this gold bowl. Once I grabbed it, all I had to do was put it in the bowl, which was sitting in front of a book, and that finished up the first floor of the Spire of Insight. Easy peasy!

Floor #2: Telescope and Pen Tip

According to a book on the second floor of the Spire of Insight, understanding history and looking towards the future are both important. This is symbolized by two items: the Pen Tip, which represents knowledge of the past, and the Telescope, which helps us see what’s ahead.

You can find the Pen Tip on a desk near a large window, southeast of the golden bowl. The Telescope is on the opposite side of the room, southwest of the bowl, also on a desk and close to a bookshelf with a ladder.

Put both items in the golden bowl next to the book. This will unlock the second floor of the Spire of Insight and cause the elevator to ascend to the final puzzle floor.

Floor #3: Celestial, Small Map Rotator, and Sundial

To complete the Spire of Insight in Crimson Desert, you’ll need to locate three items on the top floor: the Celestial, the Small Map Rotator, and the Sundial.

You can find the Celestial on the floor, between two bookshelves and under a window. To the right of the Celestial, on the third shelf from the floor, is the Small Map Rotator. The Sundial is also on the third shelf, located next to the ladder.

Don’t forget to get the recipe located on the third floor of the Spire of Insight. It lets you make Gold Bars, which are a great way to earn money quickly.

To solve the Spire of Insight puzzle in Crimson Desert, put all three items into the gold bowl located in front of the book. This will take you to the top of the spire and open a portal leading to the Chaos Forest Abyss puzzle.
