Carrie Anne Fleming sadly died at 51 years old.
The actress, known for her work on popular shows like iZombie and Supernatural, died on February 26, 2026, after fighting breast cancer. Variety reports that Jim Beaver, who played her on-screen husband Bobby Singer in Supernatural, confirmed her passing.
Carrie Anne Fleming was born on August 16, 1974, in Digby and raised in British Columbia. While attending Mount Douglas Secondary School, she discovered her love for the performing arts, taking acting classes at Kaleidoscope Theatre and studying dance with Kidco Theatre Dance Company.
After finishing school, Fleming began working as a model to help support her family. She later decided to become an actress. Some of her first acting roles were in the Adam Sandler and Julie Bowen film Happy Gilmore, and in the NBC movie Viper, where she appeared with Monica Lee Bellais and Gavin Buhr.
Tricia Helfer’s talent and hard work allowed her to succeed in both television and film. She’s known for her appearances in popular shows like Smallville, The L Word, unREAL, Supergirl, and The 4400. She’s also been in movies including Good Luck Chuck, Married Life, That Burning Feeling, and Rememory.
The actress was best known for playing Candy on The CW’s popular show iZombie, appearing in all five seasons. Her character was a zombie who initially worked at a nightclub owned by Blaine (David Anders), and later became involved in his unlawful and morally questionable business selling brains.
The TV show iZombie features Rose McIver as Liv Moore, alongside Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, and Aly Michalka. Based on a comic book series, the show centers around Liv, a medical resident who becomes a zombie. To survive, she takes a job at a morgue so she can eat brains. Interestingly, when she eats the brains of people who were murdered, she briefly gains their personality and memories, which she then uses to assist the police in solving crimes.
Chris Roberson (known for his work on Hellboy and Miles Morales: Spider-Man) and Michael Allred (Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer) created this comic book series, which was published by Vertigo, a division of DC Comics. Although it shares similarities with a TV show adaptation, there are key differences. The characters have different names, and the main character, Gwen Dylan, works as a gravedigger instead of at a morgue. She’s aided by a ghost named Eleanor Stuart and a were-terrier named Scott, who also goes by Spot.
All episodes of iZombie can be streamed on The CW app.
