Sara Tancredi’s supposed death on Prison Break was a huge shock, but the show quickly revealed it wasn’t real. The decision to undo Sara’s death feels unsatisfying, especially since her passing was so central to Michael’s character development and motivated his choices. The change was actually caused by a contract issue with the actress who played Sara, and her unexpected return to the show in season four left the writers with a difficult and clumsy explanation to create.
