Pokopia player creates a working calculator inside the game

A creative Pokemon player has constructed a working calculator within the game using an incredibly complex setup involving motion sensors, lasers, water, doors, and various switches.

This device can now do simple addition – adding single-digit numbers – which is pretty neat for a game all about creating homes and making friends with Pokémon.

The process of creating the device

User Tarnow0530 initially built a simple circuit that counted from 0 to 7. They then developed this into a basic calculator that could add single-digit numbers, building on their original design.

Tarnow said he was inspired by another Pokopia engineering video from user kyuphd – specifically, kyuphd’s pulse circuit – to build his own counter circuit.

You can create this entirely within the game itself – no modifications are needed. The creator has also provided a complete, functional calculator in this video:

Players are amazed by this new creation, comparing it to the excitement when Minecraft introduced redstone. Many are now wondering who will become the community’s leading expert on this new feature, playfully referencing a prominent Minecraft figure.

This feels similar to when redstone was first introduced in Minecraft. I’m curious to see who will become the prominent figure or expert in Poktopia, like SethBling was for redstone.

Someone else commented on how quickly it works, with hardly any lag. They also liked how clean and organized the wiring was. They contrasted it with their own calculator, which uses a lot of water and takes around a minute to complete a single calculation.

ほとんど遅延がないのがすごいですね!配線も綺麗そう!
