Prime Video’s ‘Cross’ Soars on Streaming Ahead of Season 2 Finale

While Alan Ritchson’s ‘Reacher’ is a hit on Prime Video during new seasons, viewers have another exciting hero to follow during breaks in filming. This new character is just as skilled at taking down criminals, and fans are quickly becoming captivated by this tough, compelling lead.

Similar to the character Reacher, Alex Cross comes directly from the popular novels of James Patterson. Played by Aldis Hodge, Cross is a dedicated husband and father, as well as a highly skilled forensic psychologist who is determined to see justice served. He can be very serious and focused, but also isn’t afraid to show empathy.

As a big fan of crime dramas, I’ve been really enjoying Cross on Prime Video. It’s quickly become one of their most popular shows – right now, it’s actually the second most-watched series in the US, according to Flix Patrol! It’s only behind Scarpetta and ahead of Young Sherlock. And globally, it’s doing incredibly well, sitting at number four in the worldwide Top 10, between 56 Days and Fallout. It’s clear audiences are really connecting with the main character and the story.

Get Ready For an Emotional Season 2 Finale of ‘Cross’

The hit Prime Video series Cross returns on February 11th. After a strong debut in 2024, the second season delivers even more intense action and raises the stakes. As Cross tries to repair damaged relationships from the previous season’s dramatic events, he begins tracking a new killer who specifically targets wealthy and influential figures known for their corruption.

Similar to the first season, Season 2 of Cross will have eight episodes, with the final one releasing on Prime Video on March 18th. Actor Hodge warns viewers to prepare for an emotional ending – he told ScreenRant that watching the finale actually made him cry!

That was the final episode, and after watching the whole series straight through, I was definitely invested. Being involved gave me some insight into the story, and I really got caught up in how it all unfolded. The ending really hit me – it felt like I was part of it, even though I knew what was coming. It was just incredibly well-executed and surprisingly emotional.

Will ‘Cross’ Return For Another Season?

Prime Video

Don’t worry, Cross isn’t going anywhere! While Amazon hasn’t officially announced a third season yet, the show is doing very well and its future looks promising. The creator, Ben Watkins, has a long-term vision for the series, so it’s likely we’ll see it return – it’s just a matter of time.
