In Season 2, Episode 1 of the live-action One Piece series on Netflix, Bartolomeo surprisingly showed up during the Loguetown Arc—earlier than he was originally introduced in the anime. The new season also featured several characters not seen in Season 1, including Miss Wednesday and Miss All Sunday (Nico Robin), as well as the villain Mr. Crocodile.

Bartolomeo was first introduced in the manga (chapter 705) as a gladiator in the Corrida Colosseum, where the audience didn’t like his forceful behavior. The anime showed his debut in episode 636, with the same introduction of him entering the colosseum battle.

Bartolomeo is a huge fan of the Straw Hat Pirates, and his dedication shows in everything he does. He’s incredibly loyal, even risking his own safety to protect Luffy, Nico Robin, and the rest of the crew. We later learned about this character’s time in Loguetown through flashbacks shown during the Dressrosa Arc. These flashbacks occurred when Bartolomeo excitedly talked with Luffy about how much he admired the Straw Hat crew.
