Percy Jackson Season 3 Gets Best Release Date Update Possible

News about the third season of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians is emerging, suggesting a release date is being planned. Confirmation of the season came before the second season’s expected premiere in late 2025.

The show is based on Rick Riordan’s bestselling book series and was created with Jonathan E. Steinberg. It’s the second time the novels have been adapted into a live-action format, after the previous movies with Logan Lerman.

Percy Jackson Season 3 wraps filming

Percy Jackson Season 3 has wrapped filming, according to two members of the creative team.

Albert Kim, the executive producer and writer for the show, announced that filming for the third season is finished. He also shared that the final scene was shot inside a cargo elevator.

Jeannie Chow, a hairstylist working on the show, posted on Instagram to announce that filming for Season 3 has wrapped up.

Rick Riordan announced Season 3 on his website in March 2025, and filming started in August of the same year.

Season 3 of Percy Jackson is scheduled for 2026, though we don’t have a specific release date yet. Considering the first two seasons both came out in December, it’s likely the new season will be released around the same time.

Season three will be based on the book The Titan’s Curse. The main character and his friends will embark on a risky mission to save Annabeth Chase and the goddess Artemis, who have both been kidnapped by the titan Atlas. According to Walker Scobell, who plays the lead role, the new season will closely follow the plot of the book, making it the most faithful adaptation yet.

James Bobin will direct the first two episodes of Season 3, just as he did for the first two seasons, he told Collider.
