11 Bit Studios and Digital Sun have just launched a significant update for the early access version of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, called Greed and Glory.
Okay, so the latest update is HUGE! I can now use HEX, which is basically a whole new way to fight – I can curse enemies, which is awesome. Plus, they added the Greed Colosseum and a ton of new combat rooms – like, twenty of them! It’s all happening after they announced Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, which I saw at the Indie World Showcase. Super hyped for everything!
So, Moonlighter 2 is out now as an Early Access title on Steam and through Xbox Game Pass. I’m playing it already! The full release, including a big update called ‘The Endless Vault,’ is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the new Nintendo Switch 2 once it’s finished being tested in Early Access.
You can find the update trailer with more details from Digital Sun and 11 bit studios below:
Digital Sun and 11 bit studios have released a significant update for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, which is currently available for PC through Steam Early Access. This update introduces new combat options, areas to explore, and improvements to your shop, marking a major milestone towards the game’s full release later this year.
HEX is a new combat style that allows players to inflict curses on enemies, causing damage over time that can spread to others. It’s strong by itself, but especially effective when used with existing paths like Thunder, which many players already enjoy, offering a new and interesting way to tackle dungeons.
Players can get some cool new gear, and one item especially will make Will a stronger fighter. The Blo-Blitz dual guns are perfect for players who enjoy a quick and dynamic combat style. If you want them, you’ll need to complete a special quest to unlock the recipe for crafting them, so don’t delay!
This update delivers a significantly expanded experience with a wealth of new content. Players can explore twenty new combat rooms, enjoy enhanced perk sets from Nou, Anacard, and Sliver, discover new build combinations at Andrei’s, and customize their look with around ten new shop cosmetics. The Witch now has a skill tree focused on improving survival, K33P3R’s skill tree offers more options for the shop, and a new chapter in the 5th Key Narrative continues the challenging Endless Vault storyline for players who have completed the 4th Key.
The Greed Colosseum is a new challenge where you fight waves of enemies, with each area offering unique opponents and mini-bosses that get harder with each round. We’ve also carefully adjusted the prices of items, the game’s economy, and how you progress, making sure gold feels more rewarding and upgrades feel truly earned. This ongoing work is all about helping Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault reach its full potential as a merchant-RPG before the official 1.0 release.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is now available on PC through Early Access. The complete game is planned for release in late 2026 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
