The Los Angeles Dodgers are giving away a limited-edition Super Mario-themed Yoshi bobblehead to fans at a future baseball game.
Fans attending the Dodgers game on March 31st at Dodger Stadium will have a chance to receive a special collectible, according to an official announcement. The Dodgers will be playing against the Cleveland Guardians that day.
This special figure combines Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto with the famous Nintendo character Yoshi. Yoshi is shown wearing a Dodgers uniform and a blue LA cap, holding a baseball, and his jersey features Yamamoto’s number, 18.
Super Mario’s Yoshi makes MLB debut
Just 40,000 of these Yoshi collectibles will be available, making them highly desirable for baseball fans and Nintendo collectors alike.
This promotion connects with the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie, coming to U.S. theaters on April 1st. With Mario and friends partnering with Yoshi in the movie’s trailers and artwork, it looks like Yoshi will be quite busy this year!
Exciting news! Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Yoshi are teaming up! 🎉 Come to Dodger Stadium on March 31st for a special collaboration and get a free Yoshi bobblehead, presented by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Tickets are on sale now!

Yoshi’s recent appearance in Major League Baseball was a fun surprise for fans of the Mario games, but it’s not the first time we’ve seen gaming and anime influence major sports.
In 2025, Dodger Stadium made history by hosting its first-ever livestream performance featuring VTubers. Meanwhile, the popular game Umamusume: Pretty Derby surprisingly showed up in the world of the NFL when the Seattle Seahawks shared a widely popular post with characters from the game.
