A woman’s video of being removed from an airplane has gone viral. She says she was asked to leave because her video was too loud, but fellow passengers disagree with that explanation.
We’ve all seen videos of passengers causing trouble on planes – sometimes even before takeoff, and occasionally forcing flights to change course. This behavior is upsetting for both passengers and flight attendants, and it can significantly delay everyone’s travel plans.
In late February, a TikTok user named jcmack03 posted a video showing a woman arguing with American Airlines employees on a plane in Miami before takeoff.
The woman became very upset, shouting that she had paid for the service and didn’t understand why she was being asked to leave. She claimed she’d only played a short video at a low volume and demanded they call the police.
Woman kicked off plane before new rules come into effect
Following a continued argument with flight attendants, during which she claimed she stopped playing the video after receiving a second warning, the woman was escorted away by police.
TikToker jcmack03 claimed the woman was “drunk” and had also been shouting at other passengers.
He shared that a flight attendant kindly asked a passenger to use headphones before takeoff, but she reacted with immediate anger, becoming rude and aggressive. She began yelling and using profanity towards both the staff and other travelers.
People are complaining that airplane manners have really declined. One person joked that the online discussion was taking longer than an actual flight, and many others brought up the recent viral video of a passenger, Tiffany Gomas, who had a public outburst on a plane.
This video was filmed before United Airlines’ new rule requiring passengers to use headphones when watching videos or listening to music.
United Airlines may ban passengers who play loud audio or otherwise disturb other travelers.
