William Shatner, the famous actor best known as Captain James T. Kirk from *Star Trek*, has been a public figure for many years. Recent reports claimed he’d been hospitalized, causing concern among his devoted fans. However, his representatives are now saying those reports are false. Here’s what we know.
Reports surfaced from TMZ that William Shatner was hospitalized after a health scare, leading many to worry given his recent battle with stage 4 melanoma. However, his representative, Harry Gold, quickly explained that Shatner experienced low blood sugar and proactively called for medical assistance. He’s now home and doing well, according to his rep.
Fans of the 94-year-old actor, particularly those who love *Star Trek*, will be happy to hear this news. Several original *Star Trek* cast members have sadly passed away recently, including Nichelle Nichols in 2022 and Leonard Nimoy in 2015. Fortunately, it appears the Captain of the USS Enterprise is now safe and doing well.

Paramount+ offers streaming access to the Star Trek universe, with plans starting at $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year. You can choose the Essential plan, or upgrade to the ad-free Premium plan for $12.99 a month and access to a larger library. An annual plan is also available, offering 12 months for the price of 10. Many fans would be worried about the health of the star of *Boston Legal* (available on Hulu), given how iconic he is. He’s remained active, famously traveling to space in 2021 – a widely shared moment that felt like a real-life version of his role as Captain of the Enterprise.
