Studio Khara is now offering a streaming version of the Evangelion 30th Anniversary Special Screening, a short anime that originally debuted on February 21st at the “Evangelion:30+;” event. The 13-minute short features Asuka and explores an alternate timeline where she marries the main character, Shinji, and they have a daughter.
A new Evangelion anime is in the works, intended as a fresh start for the popular series. Yoko Taro, known for the NieR games, is writing and overseeing the script. Kazuya Tsurumaki and Tōko Yatabe, both directors on the Rebuild of Evangelion films, are directing the new anime. The music will be composed by Keiichi Okabe, also known for his work on the NieR series. Studio Khara (known for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX and the Rebuild of Evangelion films) and CloverWorks (My Dress Up Darling and SPY X FAMILY) are collaborating on the animation.
