Resident Evil Requiem is a truly compelling game. It expertly blends psychological horror with the tension of survival gameplay, making it especially appealing to fans of spooky experiences.
If you’re struggling to survive, charms can help! These are items you can equip – either on your weapons or carried with you – that boost your abilities. Some are incredibly helpful, so let’s take a look at the best ones to keep with you.
11. Eye Spy Charm (Grace)
Remove Your Barriers

The Eye Spy Charm is supposed to help you survive hits that would normally kill you, which sounds good, but isn’t very useful. Because it only works for Grace, and you’ll be playing as Leon for most of the zombie battles, you won’t get much benefit from it.
The Grace charm helps you be more aware of your surroundings, but it won’t be useful unless you’re actively facing danger. You can obtain this charm by defeating Chunk at the care facility, which requires using one Hemolytic Injector and two shots from the Requiem weapon.
10. Trusted Companion Charm (Leon)
Clair Returns
Resident Evil Requiem features two Trusted Companion Charms, one for Grace and one for Leon. The version given to Leon, based on Clair, isn’t very effective.
This charm boosts how well bullets pierce through enemies, but with Leon’s powerful weapons and the game’s quick action, it’s rarely useful – you’ll usually defeat enemies before needing better bullet penetration.
You get this charm by purchasing it from the bonus content shop using your challenge points.
9. D.S.O. Emblem Charm (Leon)
Forgettable
The D.S.O. Emblem is a helpful charm, but you likely won’t need to rely on it much. It boosts your accuracy and chances of landing critical hits.
This charm sounds great in principle – it’s supposed to increase your critical hit rate. However, in practice, it doesn’t have a big impact. You’re already landing plenty of accurate hits with Leon, so the extra critical hits won’t make a noticeable difference.
This item is automatically given to Leon at the beginning of the game, so you don’t need to find or unlock it.
8. Power Shades (Leon)
Wesker?
Inspired by Wesker, the game includes the Power Shades Charm. This item boosts the Requiem weapon by allowing its bullets to pierce through anything and enhancing the damage of the final shot.
It sounds repetitive, but this charm is good on paper. While it won’t help much with shooting through enemies, the extra damage is useful. Luckily, there’s a stronger charm available for Leon that provides even more damage.
To obtain the Power Shades Charm, you must solve the puzzle given by Barry at the police department and then open the case in the STARS office.
7. Mr. Raccoon Charm (Grace)
Deluxe
The Mr. Raccoon Charm is relatively rare for Grace to find, which makes its benefits more valuable. When equipped, it boosts both her accuracy and chance to land a critical hit, similar to how the D.S.O. Emblem works for Leon.
This change is especially helpful for Grace, as her shaky aim makes hitting zombies challenging. Plus, every shot counts because ammo is scarce, so landing critical hits is really important.
Unfortunately, you can only get the Mr. Raccoon Charm if you buy the deluxe edition of the game.
6. BSAA Emblem Charm (Leon)
Go Away Chris
The BSAA Emblem Charm is one of the more helpful charms you can find. It boosts the power of your sniper rifle, but only when you’re not using the scope, which slightly limits its effectiveness compared to other charms.
Players controlling Leon can buy the Marksman A-1 sniper rifle, which offers good accuracy at a distance even without using the scope. However, removing the scope can leave you a little vulnerable in specific situations during the game.
Leon can find this item by opening the BSAA crates scattered around Raccoon City.
5. Stakeout Takeout Charm (Grace)
Kotetsu
Leon has an edge over Grace because his axe can be fixed. Grace typically has to use temporary knives that wear out, though players can get a super durable knife called the Kotetsu from the in-game shop, which solves that problem.
The Stakeout Takeout Charm boosts Grace’s knife damage and makes it last longer. When she’s using Kotetsu, the extra durability isn’t important, but the increased damage is – it lets her quickly eliminate zombies with just a few strikes, making her much more effective at gathering resources.
You get the Stakeout Takeout Charm by defeating the big chef zombie at the care center and then using his key to open the pantry.
4. Cute Bear Charm (Leon)
Ada’s Keys
The Cute Bear Charm boosts a shotgun’s damage at medium distances, but it makes it less effective in close combat.
I absolutely love this charm! I play with the shotgun a lot, focusing on hitting shots from a medium distance, and it seriously boosts its power. Honestly, if you’re the type of player who runs right up to enemies with their shotgun, this probably won’t be the best choice for you.

To get this item, go around to the back of the police station and look in the parking garage.
3. Rugged Rookie Charm (Grace)
Baby Leon
In Resident Evil Requiem, the Rugged Rookie Charm is Grace’s last collectible charm, and it’s also her most powerful, significantly boosting her attack strength. The great thing about it is that there are no drawbacks or conditions to using it.
Grace struggles to improve her weapons, making this charm incredibly helpful. It lets her defeat zombies much more easily as she plays.
You can get the Rugged Rookie Charm by buying it from the special shop with 6,500 challenge points.
2. S.T.A.R.S. Emblem Charm (Leon)
Chris, Again
The Stars Emblem Charm pays tribute to iconic characters like Chris, Jill, and Barry, as well as all past members of the organization. When attached to an automatic weapon, it boosts its damage output.
This charm does slightly increase weapon sway, but it’s barely noticeable and well worth using with any automatic weapon.
You can get the Stars Emblem Charm by finishing the scavenger hunt given to you by Barry in the Raccoon City Police Department.
