Best Special Content to Unlock First in Resident Evil Requiem

Okay, so a lot of the Resident Evil games have this cool little shop where you can buy stuff to help you out on future runs. It’s awesome because you earn points – they call them challenge points – just by completing stuff during the game, and you use those to unlock weapons, outfits, or whatever else they have. Basically, it rewards you for being good at the game and lets you customize your next playthrough!

Resident Evil Requiem features a shop where you can buy useful items like new weapons, helpful bonuses, charms, extra outfits, and more. Once you finish the game for the first time, you’ll want to prioritize buying some specific items, as they’re particularly valuable.

8. Raccoon Roundup Map

Track Down Those Raccoons

Were the Mr. Raccoon Memoriam Statues hard to find on your first time playing? Capcom really hid them in some tricky spots!

The Raccoon Roundup Map, available in the special content shop, shows you exactly where all the statues are hidden. It’s really helpful for finding them all! I suggest collecting every statue because it unlocks a special section of the shop that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to access.

7. Tactical Tracker

More Points for Kills

When you first arrive in Raccoon City, you’ll discover Leon earns points by defeating zombies. He can spend these points on better weapons, improved equipment, and even protective armor. It’s a helpful system, but you’ll always find yourself wanting more points than you have.

Once you finish the game once, you can buy the Tactical Tracker. It rewards Leon with extra points for each enemy defeated, encouraging you to eliminate them all. Plus, on subsequent playthroughs, Leon starts with points already added, making the Tactical Tracker even more valuable.

6. Advanced Tuning

Collect Those Raccoons

You don’t have to buy all the extra features in the shop. Some are earned by completing challenges, and Advanced Tuning is one of those rewards.

To get this extra bonus, you need to find all of the Mr. Raccoon Memoriam Statues hidden throughout the game. It’s definitely worth the effort, though! This bonus lets you upgrade your weapons even more, boosting their damage and giving you a big advantage, especially if you’re planning to play on the hardest difficulty setting.

5. Matsuoka Master Manual

Bloody Good

In Grace’s gameplay, stealth is key. You’ll spend a lot of time gathering blood, which you then use to create useful items like handgun bullets and special injectors. However, the amount of blood you can collect is limited, so you’ll need to manage your resources carefully.

You can find items in the parlor that let you increase how much you can carry once during the game, raising the limit to 150. If you also get the Matsuoka Master Manual by spending points, you can increase that limit even more. With the manual, you’ll start with a capacity of 150 and can raise it to 200 in the parlor – a great boost for anyone who enjoys crafting.

4. Kotetsu

Infinitely Durable

Grace starts with very few supplies, which creates a lot of tension and forces you to carefully decide how to use your items. You’ll often find knives, and you’ll need to choose between using them for protection or breaking them down to make other things.

Buying the Kotetsu knife from the special shop gives you a super durable blade that won’t break, letting you get rid of your other knives. This means you can craft more items on your next game, and if you also have the Stakeout Takeout Charm, you’ll do significantly more damage.

3. Rugged Rookie Charm

Leon by Your Side

When playing as Grace, ammo is scarce, so each shot needs to be accurate. To help with this, consider getting the Rugged Rookie Charm from the in-game shop – it can really make a difference!

This charm boosts Grace’s damage output. While it takes up space in your inventory, the extra damage it provides is well worth it, especially when facing tougher enemies on higher difficulty settings.

2. Clatter Carbine

A Stronger Machine Gun

Okay, so when you play as Leon in Resident Evil Requiem, you’re seriously armed to the teeth! You get to use a huge arsenal, and it feels amazing. And get this – once you finish the game, you can actually buy even more weapons for him in a special shop. It’s awesome being able to customize his loadout!

Okay, so most of the new weapons weren’t that great – two felt really similar to the Requiem, and one was just another pistol. But the Clatter Carbine? That thing is a game-changer. Once you buy it, you can actually get an assault rifle for Leon during the campaign, and you pay for it with points. Seriously, it’s totally worth the points because this rifle packs a serious punch – the stopping power is insane!

Grace Gets a Weapon

It’s understandable to wish Grace’s classes moved at a faster pace. They can sometimes feel slow, especially if you’re not a fan of psychological horror.

Okay, so you can actually tweak things a little by grabbing Freya’s Needle from the shop. It’s a machine pistol, and honestly, it’s all about getting a ton of bullets downrange quickly – it’s not super accurate, but it fires fast.

If you’re confident in your aim, you’ll want to try this weapon. It eliminates enemies rapidly, helping Grace feel empowered and like a capable soldier rather than a frightened FBI agent.
