Even though season 2 of Paradise is still ongoing, Sterling K. Brown has already shared some news about when filming will begin for season 3.
In Hulu’s popular sci-fi thriller, Brown stars as Xavier Collins, a Secret Service agent. In the first season, he investigated the murder of President Cal Bradford (played by James Marsden). Now, in season 2, he’s traveling across a devastated America searching for his wife, Teri Rogers-Collins (Enuka Okuma). The second season launched in February 2026, just over a year after the first—a faster release schedule than many other streaming hits.
During an appearance on the That Was Us podcast, Mandy Moore, Brown’s co-star from This Is Us, asked about the filming schedule for season 3 of Paradise. Brown said filming is planned to start at the end of March and wrap up around mid-August. You can find his full comments below.
I’m not scheduled to begin filming season 3 of Paradise until the end of March, assuming it gets officially renewed. If it does, we’ll likely film through mid-August.
Although season 3 of Paradise hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s very probable it will happen. The show has been a huge hit, and creator Brown is already aware of the planned filming dates. There was also a three-season arc envisioned for the story. According to executive producer and writer John Hoberg, work on the next season’s plot is already underway. He also revealed that the planned ending would make a fourth season “very difficult” to create.
As a huge fan of Paradise, I’m thrilled to hear they’re keeping the momentum going! The season 2 finale is set for March 30th, and apparently, they’re starting production on season 3 almost immediately after. It’s the same pattern as last year – season 1 wrapped in March and they jumped right into filming season 2. The creator, Dan Fogelman, has always said he wants to get a new season to us every year, and it looks like he’s going to keep that promise – this time for the show’s final season. It’s great news for those of us who can’t wait to see how the story ends!
Season 1 of Paradise was a hit with both critics and viewers, earning scores of 86% and 84% respectively on Rotten Tomatoes. The second season has received even more praise, currently boasting a 91% critics’ score. It’s also performing very well on streaming platforms, ranking as the top show on Hulu and third globally on Disney+ as of today.
Okay, so I’m really excited about season 2 of Paradise! It’s gotten so much bigger now that Xavier’s finally out of the bunker looking for his wife. We’re meeting a lot of new characters, like Annie and Link, who’ve been surviving on their own for three years – totally exposed to the outside world. Interestingly, the first episode doesn’t jump right back to Xavier’s story; it actually focuses on Annie and Link first, which is a cool way to build things up before we get back to what Xavier’s been up to.
Paradise releases new episodes Mondays at 12:00 a.m. ET on Hulu.
