Assassin’s Creed Shadows is in its final phase of support, anniversary livestream set for March 20

Ubisoft recently shared news about the future of the Assassin’s Creed series, including details on the upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and other projects.

The latest news confirms a livestream celebrating the anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It also indicates that the game is entering its final support stage, meaning updates will become smaller and less frequent. Ubisoft hints at a few more surprises coming to the game, but confirms that developers are starting to focus on what’s next for the Assassin’s Creed series.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is out now on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft’s store). You can find Dave’s review here, and my review of the Switch 2 version here.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is about to turn one!

The game has improved since its release thanks to new features and updates, and a lot of those changes are based on what you’ve told us. For example, our recent parkour improvements came directly from feedback we received from dedicated players and creators, both during in-person events and online.

From all of us at Shadows, thank you for your support! We’ve learned so much this past year thanks to our great collaboration with you. We’re excited to build on this relationship and connect with you even more in the future.

Come celebrate with us on March 20!

Join us for a celebration livestream on our official Ubisoft Twitch channel starting at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time! We’ll be showcasing our newest game update and announcing the winners of the Parkour Challenge. Plus, we’ll have exclusive drops and giveaways!

As we reach this milestone, Shadows will be moving into its final phase of support

Okay, so things are slowing down a bit with updates – they’ll be smaller and won’t come as often. But don’t worry, there are still a few cool things coming! More importantly, the team is starting to focus on what’s next for Assassin’s Creed, which is super exciting as a fan. I can’t wait to see what they’re planning!
