Fans mourn death of beloved influencer and researcher Dr. Stephanie Buttermore
Dr. Buttermore and Nippard were together for ten years. Dr. Buttermore was highly educated, earning a bachelor’s degree in Micro/Molecular Biology and three master’s and doctoral degrees – all in medical sciences, with a focus on pathology and cell biology – from the University of South Florida.
Dr. Buttermore typically used social media frequently, but she stopped posting on her own Instagram in 2024. The last time she appeared on Instagram was in a post on Nippard’s account on February 14, 2026.
Dr. Buttermore, much like her fiancé, was dedicated to health and fitness. She used her social media platforms to share science-based advice on exercise and healthy eating, according to her website.

According to a post on Instagram by Nippard, she was researching ovarian cancer, with a focus on finding ways to detect it early and understanding how the disease develops at a molecular level.
Dr. Buttermore found that increased levels of a protein called RHAMM appear in cells, tissues, and urine, potentially allowing for early detection of ovarian cancer through simple urine tests.
