In Where Winds Meet, you’ll find delightful interactions, including opportunities to meet adorable cats. These ‘Cat Plays’ are friendly kittens waiting for a pat, and will reward you with affection and items. You can find them throughout the Hexi region’s Jade Gate Pass, just like in other parts of the game.

Cat Plays aren’t essential to the main story, but they reward players who like to explore thoroughly. For those who enjoy collecting everything, finding all the cats adds an enjoyable extra challenge.

How To Find The Sentient Beings Collection

Where Winds Meet features a variety of collections, including plants, animals, and cats. Like other areas in the game, you can find Cat Plays scattered throughout each part of the map, organized into distinct sections.

You can find and track your progress in the ‘Sentient Being’ section by searching for it in the menu.

What Are The Cat Play Locations?

The Cat Plays are split into different areas, and the Jade Gate Pass in Hexi has four locations where you can find cats. When you find a kitty, just pet it to get Hexi Exploration Points, Jade Fish, and Elegance.

Kitty Location Description
Lu
Travel to the Camel Station Boundary Stone and head south. The kitty sits on a wooden balcony, facing the Boundary Stone, and is also very close to a Momo Kitty puzzle.
Pawsie
South of the Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone and north of the Gift of Gab Debate, the kitty is sitting on the roof of a stone building underneath a tall tower.
Nannan
In the Ayisu area of the map, west of the Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone and northeast of the Momo Kitty, the kitty Nannan will be sitting up on an open roof.
Beibei
Southeast of the Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone, the little kitty can be found at one of the points of the stone ruins.
Immortal Cat
Between the cats Nannan and Pawsie, the Immortal Cat is unlocked after completing the Feline Fixation quest.
Yiyi
Near the Jade Gate Pass Wayfarer and the Karez Boundary Stone is a wooden house next to some camels. The black-and-white kitty is sitting inside.
Sooty
Sooty can be found directly east of the Karez Boundary Stone near the Wrestling area and a ruined ship.
Moon
This kitty is directly south of the Poplar Bazaar Boundary Stone and can be found on an open rooftop underneath a glowing tree.
Jasmine
East of the Karez Boundary Stone, jump down into the shipwreck or enter via the wooden shack entrance with red banners on the front. Jasmine is in the corner of the room with the NPC Wei Ziya.
Dumpling
This kitty is west of the Poplar Bazaar Boundary Stone and on a rooftop near the wooden wreckage.
Tung-Tung
The cat play kitty Tung-Tung can be found north of the Peaceward Camp Boundary Stone, near the ‘An Unsung Name’ quest encounter and the Rainbone Flower field.
Cece
Cece is located north of the Peaceward Camp Boundary Stone and near the Battleboard Game. They are also very close to the previous kitty, Tung-Tung.
Bunbun
Slightly south of the Horsehelm Village Boundary Stone, the kitty Bunbun is located underneath a wooden awning in front of a stone house with corn hanging on the wall.

Okay, so in this game, you can find these little cat characters everywhere. Seriously, they’re hiding on roofs, inside houses… all over the place! If you’re having trouble spotting them, just listen closely – they make these tiny meows that’ll give away their position.
