Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection online features explained in more detail

During the March 2026 Capcom Spotlight presentation, Mega Man series producer Shingo Izumi revealed more about the online features coming in the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection.

Besides card collecting, this section includes more video clips of the online versus mode and how to register a friend. These features are organized by game version—meaning you can play with others even if they have a slightly different version of the same game (like Pegasus, Leo, or Dragon for the first game, Zerker, Ninja, or Saurian for the second, and Black Ace or Red Joker for the third).

Regarding the “Brother” system in the game, Capcom states that you can register a maximum of 100 Brothers for each version of the game. However, you can only actively use up to 6 Brothers in the game itself. For Versus mode, you can search for matches in each version at the same time. After a match, you also have the option to add your opponent as a Brother.

Hey everyone, just a quick update! The full presentation isn’t available as a separate video just yet. But don’t worry, you can still watch the section we’re all talking about! It’s included in both the Japanese and English recordings of the stream, and I’ve put the exact timestamps right below so you can jump straight to it.

You can find gameplay previews of the Switch version on Switch 2 and the PC version on Steam Deck. We recently spoke with Shingo Izumi and Director Koji Oda about this collection and the broader Mega Man series.
